According to the website Wikipedia.org, a cookie is a small file stored on a computer by websites during browsing, saving the user’s preferences and improving website performance. This helps to improve the user’s experience while browsing the Web. To be more precise, cookies are small strings of text sent by a web server to a web client (usually a browser) and then sent back from the client to the server (without being modified) each time the client accesses the same part of the same web domain.
The main cookie, which saves the options for all other cookies, is called a technical (consent) cookie, and has the sole purpose of sending and receiving the package of information (markers).
Modern browsers give users the option of accepting or refusing cookies, but any refusal may render certain objects unusable. Shopping carts implemented using cookies, for example, do not work in the case of refusal.
When a user visits our site, the cookies (provided the user has accepted them) register various pieces of information, which are stored in the physical memory of the user’s PC. We use this information to: - generate visitor statistics. - adapt the presentation of our website to the display preferences of your terminal (language used, display resolution, operating system used,...) during your visits to our site. - store the details you filled out in a form on our site.
Cookies hosted by our site (third party cookies) - Google Analytics
Our site features social media sharing plugins, used to transmit and register information relative to a user’s browsing history on the site, and his membership of the various social media platforms, to a server of the relative platform (when the user clicks on the "Share” button on a product advertisement which appears on various social media platforms, for example). This information is then shared according to the parameters of his social network account, in conformity with the conditions of use offered by that particular social media site.
The user can choose to accept or refuse the cookies on his computer at any time by configuring his browser.
Whether or not a cookie is registered on the user’s computer is up to him: he can make and modify his choice at any time, free of charge, using the options offered by his browser.
If the user has agreed to his browser accepting cookies on his computer, the cookies integrated in the pages and content he has consulted may be temporarily stored in a dedicated area on his computer. These will only be legible by the issuing website.
By accepting cookies, the user allows various pieces of information to be registered on his computer while browsing on the site. This information is mainly used to offer him a selection of products based on those chosen during previous visits, and to improve browsing on the site.
If the user refuses to allow cookies on his PC, or deletes those registered there, he will no longer be able to make use of a certain number of functions available on the site. This would occur, for example, when accessing content or services requiring identification of the user, or in the event that, for technical reasons, we or our providers were unable to recognize the type of browser used by his computer, his language and display settings, or the country where his computer seems to be connected to the Internet.
We decline all responsibility for any consequences resulting from the poor functioning of our services, when this is due to an impossibility on our part to register or consult cookies required for the functioning of our services, which you have refused or canceled.
Cookie management configuration depends on the browser used. This is described in the help menu of your browser, together with information on how to manage and refuse them.
